  • Der BGR-Messhubschrauber (Sikorsky S-76B) wird zur aerogeophysikalischen Erkundung des Erduntergrundes eingesetzt. Das Standardmesssystem umfasst die Methoden Elektromagnetik, Magnetik und Radiometrie. Das passive Magnetikmesssystem (HMG) besteht aus zwei Cäsium-Magnetometern zur Erfassung des erdmagnetischen Totalfeldes, die sich in der HEM-Flugsonde etwa 40 m unterhalb des Hubschraubers sowie in einer Basisstation am Erdboden befinden. Gemessen wird die Totalintensität des erdmagnetischen Feldes. Nach Abzug des erdmagnetischen Hauptfeldes und der Tagesvariationen ergeben sich die Anomalien des erdmagnetischen Feldes.
  • The BGR helicopter (Sikorsky S-76B) is used for airborne geophysical surveying of the Earth’s subsurface. The standard equipment comprises the methods electromagnetics, magnetics and radiometrics. The passive magnetic (HMG) system consists of two Cesium magnetometers, which are located in the HEM flying tube (bird) about 40 m beneath the helicopter as well as in a base station on ground. Reduction of the Earth’s main field and the diurnal variations yields to the resulting anomalies of the Earth’s magnetic field.
